Government Workers In St. Louis Raking In Big Bucks

April 12, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

It seems the place to work in government if you want to make big bucks is St. Louis. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports at least 21 city officials in St. Louis make more than $100,000 a year. The newspaper says itsstudy of pay records disclosed that only eight city workers earned that much a year ago. In March of 2000, only five made six figures. In St. Louis County, nine officials make more than $100,000. Most of the big pay raises come from a major reclassification of pay scales and job duties approved by the St. Louis Board of Alderman two yearsago.
