House Committee Approves Stadium Legislation

April 10, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

A committee in the Missouri House has given approval to using state subsidies to build a new Cardinals baseball stadium in downtown St. Louis as well as provide money for upgrades to the Truman Sports Complex in Kansas City. The measure now goes to the full House. The committee removed money for arenas and convention centers in Springfield and Branson. It does include money for the Savvis Center in St. Louis, where the Blues play.
