Racist Cable Show Angers St. Louis Politicians

April 9, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

A racist television show broadcast in St. Louis County has raised the ire of politicians there, but it appears there’s nothing that can be done about the show broadcast on a public-access channel. The show is called White Power. It blazenly displays a Nazi flag and advocates the deportation of non-whites. Though members of the St. Louis County Council have objected, an official with Charter Communications insists even hate speech is protected by the First Amendment. He adds such complaints frequently arise about programs broadcast on its public-access channel.
