Sentence, Guilty Plea Resulting From Courtney Drug Probe In Kansas City

The investigation into the case of former Kansas City pharmacist Robert Courtney, who has pleaded guilty to charges that he diluted cancer-fighting drugs, continues with a sentence and a guilty plea involving two defendants implicated in the case. Steuart Smith, a former hospital employee from Colorado, has waived indictment and pleaded guilty to the unlawful sale of hospital drugs. Gary Ravis, a former Kansas City pharmacist, has been sentenced to five years of probation and fined $250,000 after pleading guilty in December to a felony charge of receiving stolen property in interstate commerce.
