Ford Discontinues Production of Luxury Truck Built At Claycomo

April 2, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

A big luxury truck built at Ford’s Claycomo plant is being pulled off the market because the things just haven’t sold. The Lincoln Blackwood has been in production for less than a year. About one-thousand of them have been made. Only about 400 of them have been sold. Analysts had predicted sales of 8,500 in the next model year. The Blackwood – which looks kind of like a Lincoln Navigator with a pickup truck bed tacked on the end – had a sticker price of $52,500.
