April 1, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The St. Louis Cardinals open the season with dreams of a World Series. The Kansas City Royals open with dreams of a .500 record. But both teams will start their quests today…beginning at 3:05 in Kansas City. The Royals host the Minnesota Twins in their opener at Kauffman Stadium. Jeff Suppan gets the start for Kansas City…against Brad Radke of the Twins. Five minutes later, at 3:10 in St. Louis, the Cardinals start their season against the Colorado Rockies. Cy Young contender Matt Morris pitches for the Cardinals, against Mike Hampton for Colorado.
