More Fallout From K.C. School Strip Searches

March 28, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Kansas City’s school superintendent wants to fire a couple of teachers who conducted strip searches of 23 third graders last week. Superintendent Bernard Taylor is asking the school board to take the action. He has sent letters to parents of the students saying the searches were an”egregious violation of district policy.” The searches were done when $5 in lunch money was reported missing. It was later found, but not because of the searches.
