The University of Washington has been granted permission to talk to Missouri coach Quin Snyder about the head coaching job there. Snyder is a native of the Seattle area, near the University of Washington. He’s not saying whether he’ll talk to Washington about the job, or whether he’s interested. Washington fired coach Bob Bender last week. Its athletic director, Barbara Hedges, reportedly is also considering St. Louis University coach Lorenzo Romar, and Gonzaga coach Mark Few. Snyder just finished his third season at Missouri, taking the Tigers to the Elite Eight for the third time in school history. Mizzou finished with a 24-12 record, despite a sixth-place finish in the Big 12 Conference. In his career at Missouri, Snyder is 62-38, and has taken the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament every year.
