Southeast Missouri Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson and St. Louis Congressman Lacey Clay are part of a group of 34 members of Congress starting a new move to alter United States trade policy with Cuba. The President already has said he won’t support such efforts. Cuba is considered by the State Department as a country that sponsors terrorism. The group plans to try to change the law restricting American travel to Cuba, and to change another law that will let United States banks finance purchase by Cubans of American farm products or medicine.
