Business-Education Roundtable Holds First Meeting

The first meeting of the Missouri Business Education Roundtable has been held in Jefferson City. Governor Bob Holden addressed the panel, saying partnerships between businesses and schools are vital to the future success of public education in the state. The panel is chaired by Jan Newton, President of Southwestern Bell-Missouri and Karen Pletz, President and CEO of the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City. Other members include business executives, from across the state, educators, community leaders, state legislators, and government officials.
