Governor Signs Rape-Sodomy Law

March 6, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Bob Holden has signed into law a bill that does away with limitations on when rape or sodomy charges can be filed. The new law also includes attempted rape and sodomy as crimes that carry no statute of limitations. By signing this legislation, Holden cancels an appeals court decision that state law had a three-year statute of limitations on rape cases.
