Kangaroos Bounced From Mid-Con Tourney

March 5, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Despite 27 points from Michael Watson last night, the UMKC Kangaroos were eliminated from the Mid-Continent Conference tournament by top-seed Valparaiso 71-58. The Kangaroos close the curtain on their season with an 18-11 record. That is the second-best in school history. Valpo will now play IUPUI for the Mid-Continent Conference tournament title with the winner earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
