Senator Jean Carnahan is asking the Bush Administration to restore highway fund cuts that are proposed in the current budget. At issue is a proposed cut of nearly $9-Billion in funding for highways. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, Missouri could lose an estimated $203-Million in federal highway funding. Carnahan says the impact would be devastating for state and local transportation programs and to the economy.
