Kansas CIty Royals outfielder Mark Quinn has been diagnosed with a cracked rib and he will probably miss the beginning of the regular season. According to GM Allard Baird, Quinn reported to camp with the problem and had taken part in all workouts until sitting out Monday with soreness. An MRI and an X-ray revelaed the injury. Michael Tucker is expected to hold down right field full-time until Quinn is healthy, then the two will platoon.
