Bond Calls On State To Take Over Costs Of Meth-Fighting Program

Legislation is under consideration in the State Capitol asking the state to start paying the costs of the Missouri Sheriffs Meth-Amphetamine Relief Team – the MOSMART program. A big name witness appeared before aState Senate committee today on behalf of the legislation. Senator Christopher Bond says the MOSMART program has worked well with federal dollars, but it is now time to put the program under the sponsorship of the State Department ofPublic Safety. Bond says the state cannot expect the federal government to do much more to fund the MOSMART program.
