Blues Enter Olympic Break On Downer

February 14, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Pavol Demitra scored 1:07 into last night’s game for St. Louis against Colorado, but it was all downhill from there as the Blues lost in Denver 3-1 in their final game before the Olympic Break. Mike Keane, who was traded by the Blues to Colorado earlier this week, haunted his old team by setting up Dan Hinote’s go-ahead goal in the second period. The tally came shorthanded. Patrick Roy was strong between the pips for the Avalanche, finishing with 33 saves. The Blues Brent Johnson kicked away 16 shots in defeat. The Blues will now not return to the ice until February 26th when they visit Vancouver.
