Senate Passes Farm Bill

The U.S. Senate has passed the Farm Bill and sent it to a conference committee in which House and Senate conferees will try to reconcile the differences in the House and Senate versions of the legislation. SenatorCarnahan voted in favor of the legislation, while Senator Bond voted against it. He says the bill has problems. It’s hoped the conference will complete its work by the Easter break that starts on March 22nd.
