Holden Asks FEMA For Additional Disaster Assistance

February 13, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Bob Holden has asked the Federal Emergency Management Agency to make disaster assistance available to an additional 22 Missouri counties that suffered damages in last month’s severe ice storm. So far, 33 counties have been declared eligible for relief under a major disaster declaration issued by President Bush. Holden is now asking FEMA to add the 22 counties to the emergency declaration, based on reports from state and federal damage assessment teams.
