The winter weather that has hit parts of the state seems to have taken quite a toll in the town of Harrisonville, near Kansas City. City Clerk Cheri Middaugh says sleet and ice have led to power lines coming down. Electricity is out in most areas of the town. Fire departments and other emergency operations from various cities and towns in southwest Missouri are sending people and equipment to Harrisonville to help out.
