January 31, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

A delegation of Missouri lawmakers and officials meets with Ford Motor Company executives Friday morning in Dearborn, Michigan, to discuss the company’s decision to close the Hazelwood plant. Governor Holden leads thedelegation. He says Missouri is willing to come up with an offer to have Ford keep the plant open, but this state’s officials must first learn more about the decision that was made. Among those joining the Governor on the trip are Senator Carnahan, St. Louis Congressman Richard Gephardt, and Economic Development Director Joe Driskill.
