The State Gaming Commission has refused to let the new casino at Boonville hire a woman from Liberty as its financial controller. A Commission investigator says Elizabeth McDaniel lost more than $91,000 at Kansas City-area casinos in 1999 and 2000 … and that at one time she was delinqent on sales tax obligations and seekingextensions of her federal income tax deadline. McDaniel has paid all of her taxes. She has been a provisionalemployee at the casino and has been praised by her boss as “exemplary.”
