Former Kansas City Chiefs head coach Marty Schottenheimer has been hired as the new head man of the San Diego Chargers. Yesterday he agreed to a four-year, ten-million dollar contract with the lightning bolts. Schottenheimer coached the Chiefs from 1989-1998, winning 101 games in the process. He spent last season leading the Washington Redskins to an 8-8 record and he replaces Mike Riley who was fired after three seasons with the Chargers. He won 14 games during that time.
