Billikens Get Throttled

January 30, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Lorenzo Romar’s St. Louis Billikens just weren’t very good last night as they got rocked down in Hattiesburg by Southern Mississippi 67-46. What makes the defeat especially disturbing is that the Golden Eagles came into the game with just one conference win, they are now 2-6 in Conference USA. SLU falls to 9-12 overall with its third straight loss. They are 3-5 in conference. Elvin Mims led Southern Miss with 26 points, 14 rebounds and four assists. Jason Edwin was the only Billiken to finish in double figures, he had 14. St. Louis is 0-6 on the road this season.
