Tigers Get Throttled In Lawrence

Drew Gooden led the way with 26 points and ten rebounds last night as the #2 Kansas Jayhawks undressed #24 Missouri in Lawrence 105-73. Kansas led by just one at the half 43-42, but they outscored the Tigers 62-31 over the final twenty minutes to put this one away and then some. Rickey Paulding and Clarence Gilbert each scored 19 points to pace Missouri. Kansas shot 62% from the field, 62% from behind the arc and 91% from the foul line for the game to improve to 18-2 overall and 7-0 in the Big 12. Missouri falls to 15-6, 5-3.
