Security At Lambert-St. Louis Called Into Question

January 25, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Security officers at Lambert-St. Louis airport say they’re going to review their procedures, again, after the latest security breach that delayed flights. A man carrying a black bag ran through security guards and National Guard soldiers in one of the concourses last night and disappeared into the crowd. He was never found, but about two dozen airplanes were held at their gates for more than an hour, and about a dozen airplanes already loaded with passengers were unloaded while the search went on. It’s the third time in recent weeks a security breach has stopped operations at a Lambert concourse and delayed flights.
