Governor Holden and a delegation of Missouri officials will head to Detroit next week to talk to Ford executives in a bid to convince them to reverse the decision to shut down the Ford plant in Hazelwood, near St. Louis. A meeting is set for Friday morning. Plans are being worked out to have the Governor and the delegation meet with Chrysler and General Motors officials in Detroit, as well. Those would be courtesy calls designed to keep open the lines of communication.
