January 22, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri Tigers also kept a streak alive yesterday, although theirs is not nearly as positive as the blues. The Tigers lost their eighth straight to #6 Oklahoma, 84-71 down in Norman. The Sooners smothered Tiger leading scorer Kareem Rush with constant double-teaming, holding him to just 13 points on 4 of 15 shooting. Clarence Gilbert led all scorers with 26 for Mizzou, Hollis Price paced five in double-figures for Oklahoma with 24. The Tigers are now 14-5 on the season, 4-2 in the Big 12.
