Blues Hold Off Oilers

January 16, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Brent Johnson kicked away 22 shots while Keith Tkachuk’s power play goal 1:02 into the third period proved to be the difference as the St. Louis Blues held off the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 last night. Tkachuk’s tally made it 3-1, the Oilers would score with two minutes remaining but they never picked up the equalizer. The win was the sixth straight for St.Louis and their ninth in ten games. Chris Pronger and Alexander Khavanov also scored for St. Louis.
