This new legislative session is the last legislative session for more than 70 members of the Missouri House. Leadership is assessing how that might affect the session. 74 of 163 members of the House have entered their last session. Many at the State Capitol wonder about how those 74 will respond to term limits. House Speaker Jim Kreider of Nixa says things haven’t been pretty in other states experiencing large turnovers. House Republican Leader Catherine Hanaway of Warson Woods worries about the impact of term limits this session as well, but sees a benefit down the road.
