Holden Administration Keeps Ford Hopes Alive

The Holden Administration is not giving up on hopes that Ford will reconsider plans to close its Hazelwood plant near St. Louis. Many questions regarding Ford’s decision remain unanswered. The announcement caught a lot of people by surprise – including members of the Holden Administration. Economic Development Director Joe Driskillgot word the night before the axe fell … and was stunned because of investments Missouri has made at Ford facilities in Hazelwood and Claycomo, near Kansas City. Driskill says state officials want to find out why the decision was made and whether anything can be done to reverse it.
