Governor Bob Holden has announced a proposal designed to help strengthen the state’s economy. This is the first in a series of steps aimed at building economic security. The steps are: customized training grants to attract new jobs and retain existing ones, increased emphasis on Missouri Career Centers, a new toll-free jobs information hotline, a new web site, and the use of bilingual web translation to aid job seekers. These services are free of charge to all Missourians and will be paid for by reallocating existing resources.
