Death Date Set For Convicted Killer Michael Owsley

January 7, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

A February 6th execution date has been set for Michael Owsley, who was convicted in the April, 1993, shooting death of Elvin Iverson in a dispute over drug money in Kansas City. Owsley, Iverson, and two other people were involved in trafficking drugs between Kansas City, Missouri, and Junction City, Kansas. A dispute led to Owsley putting a pillow over Iverson’s head, pointing a gun at the pillow, then pulling the trigger, killing Iverson instantly. A series of appeals has come to an end and the State Supreme Court has set the February 6th execution date. The death sentence will be carried out at the prison in Potosi.
