Four different players lit the lamp for the St. Louis Blues last night, leading the home team to a 4-2 victory over Columbus. Scott Mellanby, Scott Young, Al MacInnis and Jamal Mayers scored the St. Louis goals and they also contributed to a styfling defensive effort. The Blues did not allow the first Columbus shot on goal until the 11:02 mark of the first period and they held the Blue Jackets to just 11 shots for the entire game. Goalie Brent Johnson was only equal to nine of those chances, but he still earned the victory. The Blues are 4-2 in their last six games.
