Tigers Find Winning Formula Again

January 3, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

#17 Missouri got back to basics last night, using styfling defense and solid shooting to snap a three-game losing streak. Tigers smother Coppin State at Hearnes Center 74-47. Missouri shot 52% from the floor in the win. Kareem rush led all scorers with 23, Clarence Gilbert added 17. The stat of the night in this one — the Tigers committed just four personal fouls the entire night. As a result Coppin State shot just two free throws in the game. Missouri improves to 10-3 on the season. The Eagles fall to 3-11. After the game point guard Wesley Stokes, who dished out a game-high 11 assists, talked about the win.
