Chillicothe is re-naming its airport to honor a World War II triple ace who lives in the city. The city council has voted to name the airport for Richard West, who had fourteen official kills and three unconfirmed ones while flying in the Pacific Theatre. West flew 173 missions. He says he came up against Japanese planes only eight times, and he says he shot down four on one mission.
