Cold Shooting Dooms ‘Roos

An awful shooting night was about the only thing that prevented the UMKC Kangaroos from pulling off a major upset last night at Municipal Auditorium. The Kangaroos hit on just 28% of their shots from the field en route to a 62-50 loss to #6 Oklahoma State. UMKC leading scorer Michael Watson really struggled in this one. Averaging 22-points a game coming in, Watson was held to just 14 last night on 5 of 22 shooting. Marcus Golson also scored 14 and added a game-high 10 rebounds as well. After the game, Kangaroos head coach Rich Zvosec talked about what might have been.
