Billiken Soccer Team Ready For Next Challenge

December 5, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

After dismissing Loyola (MD) in the NCAA Tournament this past weekend, the St. Louis Billikens men’s soccer team will now visit Palo Alto, California to take on Stanford in the quarterfinals on Friday. The Billikens are 18-1 on the season and three wins away from their unprecented 11th National Championship. The Cardinal are 18-1-1 and on an 11-game unbeaten streak. St. Louis leads the series between the two schools 3-0-1. Matt Leon spoke with Billikens head coach Dan Donigan this week before the team left for the West Coast to get a preview of the match-up.
