K.C. Schools Moving Closer To Accreditation

November 29, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

The troubled Kansas City School District has moved a step closer to provisional accreditation. The Board of Education says the District has met the minimum number of state standards to qualify for provisional accreditation. While the Board will not make a final decision about the district’s accreditation status until next spring, Education Commissioner Kent King says the new data are a positive sign for the school district. The Board’s announcement is based on preliminary performance data.
