Members of the Missouri National Guard’s 1139th Military Police Company, based in Moberly and Harrisonville, have reported to their mobilization station at Fort Riley, Kansas, following a send-off presided over by Governor Bob Holden. The 1139th was activated under presidential authorization for the partial mobilization of the reserve components of the armed forces. Governor Holden thanks those heading to Fort Riley for leaving their jobs, their homes, and their loved ones to serve their country in support of operations linked to the September 11th terrorist attacks.
