Attorney General Jay Nixon is criticizing a new proposal by the Doe Run Company to drill for lead in the Mark Twain National Forest. The U.S. Forest Service has indicated its willingness to allow Doe Run to drill up to 232 holes on public land in southeast Missouri. Nixon calls the Forest Service study insufficient, secretive, and disengenuous.
