The University of Missouri-Rolla is making a contribution to the fight against terrorism. Missouri-Rolla computer and electrical engineering professor Ann Miller has worked for the government in the past, currently chairs NATO’s Information Systems Technology Panel, and will now expand her duties to include advising on counter-terrorism. The decision to focus on counter-terrorism was made last month on the heels of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Miller is part of a task group also made up of representatives of Canada and Great Britain. She hopes the task force will emphasize the need to raise the level of awareness.
