Governor Holden says he hasn’t seen a formal proposal from Kansas City concerning possible state help to refurbish the Truman Sports Complex. The owners of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals have sent a joint letter to the governor requesting $100-Million in state bonds and $150-Million dollars in state sales tax breaks for renovations at Arrowhead and Kauffman Stadiums. Holden earlier this year agreed to support a proposal that would provide $100-Million dollars in state aide to help build a new baseball stadium in downtown St. Louis for the Cardinals. Holden says the Kansas City proposal will have no impact on the St. Louis proposal.
