Traces of Anthrax Confirmed in Kansas City

November 3, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Test results back from the Centers for Disease Control confirm a Kansas City, North postal center was contaminated and its workers possibly exposed to anthrax. A representative from a private decontamination company is on the scene, assessing what it will take to clean the Stamp Fulfillment Services Center in the Hunt Midwest underground office park near Worlds of Fun. The center is 300,000 square feet. The city health department has advised the 250 employees and visitors to the postal facility to keep taking antibiotics as a precaution. Health officials say they will ask the CDC next week whether some who had very limited exposure can stop taking the pills.
