Loser in Attorney General Race Wins Federal Job

The loser of last year’s State Attorney General race has snagged a pretty good federal job. Sam Jones is the new regional director of the Small Business Administration. The Senate has confirmed the nomination. Jones is a former chairman of the State Tax Commission. He ran unsuccessfully as a Republican against incumbent Democrat Jay Nixon for Attorney General.
