State Economic Development Director Hits the Road

October 26, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

State Economic Development Director Joe Driskill is hosting a series of regional dialogues, designed to gauge how the September 11th terrorist attacks have affected the state economy. Economic Development Department officials met with government and business people, as well as the public, this week in St. Louis and St. Joseph. A meeting is scheduled for Springfield Tuesday, October 30th, and in Kansas City Thursday, November 1st. A meeting has also been scheduled for Sikeston on November 13th and additional meetings might be scheduled later. Driskill says there is a great deal of uncertainty clouding the state economic future right now. He hopes to determine the economic impact of the attacks and plan a response.
