Immigration Crack Down Signed Into Law

Senator Bond’s proposed law tightening immigration laws is part of the new national security law signed by President Bush today. Bond says the legislation closes loopholes exploited by terrorists and injects sanity into immigration laws. Among other things, Bond’s legislation calls on the Attorney General to set up an automated system to track movements of visa holders and provide quick checks of their legal status.
