No Marshall Faulk – no problem for the St. Louis Rams on Sunday as back-up running back Trung Candidate stepped in for an injured Faulk and ran for 195 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, leading the St. Louis Rams to a 34-14 win over the New York Jets on Sunday. Candidate’s two scores were anything but routine. His first, a 44-yard run came on an option play after he took a pitch from wide receiver Az’Zahir Hakim. The second score, a 12-yard jaunt, came after he took a direct snap from center after lining up as the quarterback in the shotgun formation. The Rams are now 6-0 on the season – they are the only undefeated team in the NFL.
