Missouri’s Congressional Delegation Targets Pranksters

October 17, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Members of Missouri’s Congressional delegation are echoing the thoughts of Attorney General John Ashcroft over anthrax-related threats made by pranksters. Some people have taken advantage of the current anthrax scare to send packages and letters through the mail in a bid to frighten people. Senator Christopher Bond says anyone involved in this type of joke should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Those thoughts are shared by St. Louis Congressman Lacy Clay, who says jokes about a life-threatening agent like anthrax are not acceptable.
