The Missouri Department of Health is investigating two reports of individuals from Missouri who could potentially have been exposed to anthrax related to the much publicized American Media Incorporated building in Boca Raton, Florida. One person from the St. Louis area contacted the Department of Health to say he had been in the Florida building for two days in early August. The Department has requested that the person’s doctor take samples from the patient’s nasal passages to be tested. Also, an individual from Kansas City reported computer equipment had been shipped to him from the same building. In this case, the Department recommended testing of the computer equipment for anthrax spores.
