Mike Sweeney’s three-run home run capped a four-run eighth inning to lead the Kansas City Royals to a 5-1 win over Cleveland on tuesday. Roberto Hernandez (5-6) picked up the win with an 1 1/3 of shutout relief work. Blake Stein gets a no-decision for the Royals despite pitching seven shutout innings. he struck out six while on the hill.
